Iowa Stock Dog Association Benefit
Fun Day, Fun Trial and Annual Meeting Sunday, April 5th, 2009 Hosted by Bob Johnson, Tingley, Iowa All Breeds and Levels of herding dogs* and
handlers welcome *Leashed and Current on Vaccinations |
The Iowa Stock Dog Association
would like to invite you to come to our Fun Day and Fun Trial to be held at Bob
Johnson’s arena on the west edge of Tingley, Iowa. Please come and participate in raffles, join in the pot luck
lunch w/ bake sale and either enter a dog or watch the fun that we have with
our dogs in the fun trial with sheep.
This is an all day event, the Tingley Community Center will be available
for the potluck and for restroom breaks, or to get out of the weather is needed. If you have a working dog you are welcome to
participate, we only require that you are able to control your dog while off
leash and when around livestock.
If you have an item that
you would be willing to donate for the raffles, please drop off your items at
the Community Center sometime in the morning, we will have a table set up
dedicated to raffle items.
Proceeds of the event
will be donated to assist in the production of the National Cattle Dog Finals,
which will be held this May in Nebraska.
We have many Iowa Handlers and Dogs that are qualified and attending,
let’s show them our support!
Schedule of Events
9 am – noon:

Open Herding Practice. At least 3 practice areas will be available. $10.00 per dog.
12:-1:00pm
·
Potluck Lunch &, Dessert Bake, Bring your
favorite dish and a dessert for the bake sale or just join in and add your
donation to the can

Silent Auction – we will have a table dedicated to
a silent auction, please bring your donated items to the Community Center
anytime in the morning so that they can be viewed and bid on
1:00pm-1:30pm

ISDA Annual Meeting, Presentation of Awards and
Election of Officers

Fun Trial, $10 per entry. Enter as often as you like, yup you can enter the same dog and
re-run. We will be offering classes for
both Novice handlers (handlers can go anywhere they like to assist the dog) and
for Open Handlers. This is for fun with
proceeds to benefit the National Cattle Dog Finals.
