About our Puppies

Our pups are not available for sale until we have the opportunity to see how they interact with livestock, we want to be sure that each person purchasing a working prospect from us takes home a pup that is already showing interest in working livestock. In the instance the we take deposits for future litters, we are only comfortable taking two in advance, we want to be sure that each person reserving a pick in future litters will have the opportunity of securing a individual that exhibits a high quality of working ability.

It is also important to us that a pup shows a sustained interest/intensity even when faced with adversity.  An older pup/young dog is of little good if the moment they get kicked they quit and give up.  Our pups that have been on livestock have not been protected from hard knocks resulting from their own actions, nor have they been intentionally excited.  We allow them to discover how to handle and respond to livestock under our supervision.  Pups that are moved up to calves at a young age are done so because they are ready for calves or they need to learn a lesson that the sheep will not be able to teach.
